Hospitals can be scary for adults... For kids? Really scary.My mission is to distract children while they are awaiting certain procedures. Here, at Children's National Medical Center, they can enjoy "THE BIG TOP"! They even have the ability to control the lights with a remote. My hope is to be able to say ~ MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.
What to do? When there's NOTHING to do?
A lull... Professional doldrums... Awaiting the next mural tsunami... After almost 20 years of decorative painting I STILL haven't learned my lesson. This strange life I've chosen is a life of waves and not the soothing kind that coat your thoughts as you drift into a nap at your favorite beach. Nope, this kind can sometimes be akin to the dramatic flood in the film 127 Hours though I'm happy to say I perpetually survive with BOTH ARMS! So, today I will do some necessary work around the house, write a blog post, try NOT to freak out that it's a day sans income and, fortunately, "batten down the hatches"...
